ABOUT

Some cities have amusement parks or sprawling shopping centers that would take days at a time to traverse through, but growing up in the suburbs of a comparably small city like Tulsa, one has to learn how to entertain themselves. Thus, as a child, a majority of Aubrey's afternoons were spent running around the cul-de-sac that she lived on. Those couple hundred yards of asphalt became everything from a runway to a racetrack while assuming the roles of extravagant characters based off of the T.V. shows and movies she watched. The only limit was her imagination.

Like most children, Aubrey did not know what her niche was throughout elementary school. She had tried gymnastics, taekwondo, volleyball, you name it, but she had not found anything that sparked her interest. It wasn’t until the sixth grade when she chose to take orchestra as an elective that she found something that she was truly passionate about. She chose to learn the viola for extremely trivial reasons (she thought the violin was too squeaky and the cello was too big to carry around everywhere), but she claims, to this day, that it was the best decision she had ever made in her life. Music has led Aubrey to so many different opportunities, from being able to attend the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute and the Oklahoma All-State Orchestra, to performing with music legends including Jana Jae and Lindsey Stirling.

Aubrey's interest in film sparked during her senior year at Broken Arrow High School when she joined her school's media production team. She began learning the fundamentals of videography and filmmaking and suddenly, she found that the creativity and imagination that was the foundation of her childhood and the passion that she had found in music were colliding in this medium.

She continued her education at The University of Tulsa in 2018, double-majoring in Film Studies and Music. Throughout her college career, Aubrey only gained more reverence for music, the study of it, the practice, the performance, and the composition. She joined Sigma Alpha Iota, an international women's music fraternity, in 2021 and served as Treasurer during her last semester. During her first semester attending, she joined the university's media production team, TUTV Media Lab, where she worked as Social Media Producer and Audio Engineer. Eventually, Aubrey's love for music and film led her to audio production and podcasting. Her senior capstone project consisted of writing, recording, sound designing, and composing music for an original narrative podcast titled Phreaks of Phandalin: The Silent Symphony

After graduating, Aubrey interned for Red Clay Studios in Tulsa, working in their editorial department. Soon after, she joined Growth Network Podcasts, where she currently works as a part-time producer. Aubrey also continues to play the viola with the Celebration Orchestra at First Baptist Tulsa and the Tulsa Peoples' Orchestra.
